Debra Gould The Staging DivaIf you’re considering a career in home staging, you could be heading towards a bright future with many amazing opportunities.

There are five steps you can take now to help get you ready for when it’s time to take the plunge and follow your passion.

1. Confirm that you have what it takes to become a home stager.

You’ll want to find out if this is actually a field you want to pursue and whether or not you have the necessary skills and personality traits to succeed. Take the free Staging Diva quiz to help you determine if home staging is for you. To get this quiz, fill out the yellow sign up box on the top left of this page and I’ll send it to you right away.

2. Start thinking of a name for your home staging business.

It’s never too early to start dreaming up a name for your future home staging business. This is usually the most fun part of your start up journey, but you might find it challenging to find a name that isn’t taken already.

When you’ve thought of a name you love, do some searching to see if it’s already in use. You can do this free by searching on the Internet as a starting point.

Check back here on Thursday when I’ll give you three more things you can be doing now to get your home staging business off the ground.

In the meantime, if you’re an established home stager, what were the first steps you took to get your business started that could help others? What did you do right? What would you do differently? We can all learn from each other so please post a comment and add to the discussion!
