Staging Diva homework has a purpose

home staging homeworkIf you’ve been researching home staging training companies, you’ve probably encountered those that require you to hand in assignments to be graded in order for you to graduate or “qualify” for “guaranteed jobs”.

I take a different approach to assigning homework than most other home staging training programs and there are several reasons for this.

I don’t offer imaginary credentials. Unlike most other home staging training companies, I’m upfront about the fact that there is no such thing as an official credential needed to become a home stager. Handing out assignments that must be graded and making you jump through other artificial hoops just to pretend you’re suddenly qualified to do something just isn’t something I need to do.

You’re learning how to operate a business so you have work to do anyway. Because my goal is to teach you how to start and grow a successful home staging business, I have created homework for each of the 5 Staging Diva Courses. But, each assignment asks you to think about or do something you should be doing any way to get your staging business started. The reason I call them homework assignments is to nudge you to do these things now rather than putting them off (it’s easy to procrastinate when you’re working for yourself).

Each homework assignment was designed to move you closer to achieving your goal of having a successful home staging business.

We’re all mature adults. This is self-led learning and whether you choose to do the homework or not is completely up to you. The homework assignments I give in the Staging Diva Courses are steps you need to take to get your staging business off on the right foot. If you’re serious about growing a successful business, I know you’ll complete them.

I actually operate a home staging business. A lot of home staging training companies are led by people who no longer operate a home staging business. However, I actually do have a successful home staging business of my own to run and I don’t really have time to chase all students down to make sure they’ve completed their homework!

It all comes down to the fact that you wouldn’t have ordered the Staging Diva Training Program if you didn’t want to learn what I have to teach you. I don’t assign mandatory homework, but I do assign it for a reason. If you complete those assignments, you’ll be more successful in your home staging business.

Just remember, with the Staging Diva Training Program, there are no marks and there is no pass/fail. Just happy and successful graduates.
