I have tried the trick of tying up a shower curtain that had a few stains on it that I could not get out, but fit the bathroom perfectly with a small bow and set it in the middle of the shower rod. But kept everything else very simple. I have seen too many houses that seem perfectly decorated, but that is the problem-they are decorated to the seller's taste and not thinking about the buyer. If there is too much for the buyer to have to look past to see their own furniture and nick-nacks in there they will never buy. Less can be a lot more.

I could't agree more; re: all the EXTRAS I've seen at some staged homes...very distracting and in some degree personal, versus "removing the clutter" and allowing the potential buyers SEE what's available to them. I've seen the towel swans, ivy vines everywhere, flowers in wine glasses, etc...THANK YOU for affirming what's NOT necessary!
Bravo,
