Submit your story for the book “Life as a Home Stager”

Fave Client Story

Step 1 of 2

50%
  • This is your chance to be in a book called: “Life as a Home Stager: An Inside Look at What It’s Really Like in the Home Staging Business."

If your story is selected, you’ll be able to brag in your own marketing that you’re included in a book about home staging. I’ll also send you a FREE copy of the finished book when it’s published.

Think about an experience you’ve had with a client. It might be heartwarming, funny or scary but we want examples in the life of a home stager that will grab an audience’s attention!

Here are some ideas to get your wheels turning:

    • Tell us about a client who was going through a particularly difficult time (divorce, empty nest, death in the family, foreclosure, major life change) when you staged their home and how you helped them through the process.
    • Tell us about a tricky staging project and how you rose to the challenge.
    • Tell us about a client’s strange choice of decor and how you convinced them to change it before putting their home on the market.
    • Tell us about a time you donated your staging services to help someone in need.
    • Tell us about a funny mishap or a silly mistake you made while staging a client’s home.

Use your story to paint a picture of “a day in the life” of a home stager. Your story should give fellow stagers an opportunity to learn from your experience and integrate its lessons into their own businesses.

Don’t worry — you don’t have to be a professional writer to participate! We will edit your story if it chosen for inclusion in the book. Here are some tips for writing the content you’ll send to us:

    • Describe your range of emotions during the incident.
    • Include only the details that are pertinent to the story — sometimes less is more!
    • Use descriptive language.
    • Explain the moral of your story.
    • Compose your story in Microsoft Word and then copy and paste it into your submission.

Remember that your story won't be directly tied to you, so you don't have to be afraid of what a client will think if they were to read it.
